Relief Cleaners, Schools & Offices, Lewis & Harris
£15.07 per hour, inclusive of £1.55 Distant Islands Allowance per hour

The Education & Children’s Services Department is seeking to add to its list of persons who are willing to act as Relief Cleaners to cover staff absences in the Comhairle’s offices and schools in Lewis & Harris.

You will be required to carry out general cleaning duties including: sweeping; vacuum cleaning; emptying bins; polishing and dusting of designated areas, fixtures and fittings; cleaning and disinfecting of toilets.

You must have an understanding of the cleaning requirements of commercial premises, demonstrate an awareness of health and safety issues in relation to the handling and storage of materials and equipment, and have previous experience of working in a similar post.

Hours as and when required. Rate quoted above is inclusive of Islands Allowance.

Relief Cleaners for schools are subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot).
